It Takes More Than Passion with Marc Gruber-Laux
Building a startup can bring us back to a place of excitement about creating something from scratch. But it takes more than just passion.
In this episode, I sit down with Marc Gruber-Laux, Co-Founder of CGI studio, sooii. I take Marc back to his childhood and he opens up about his passion for music, which has influenced his work to this day. We speak about Marc’s first jobs and what value he was able to take from them that he still applies.
Marc walks us through his entrepreneurial journey, from starting his first business in 2006 and with his business partner, eventually merging it with sooii in 2019. Marc emphasises the power of the people in the business and how they motivate him. I ask Marc what kind of people he believes are needed for a company to thrive.
Being the owner of a creative tech company, Marc feels it essential to address ‘the elephant in the room’ of AI. Every day it seems there’s a new advancement in AI technologies, and Marc gives us his thoughts on how it’s changing the landscape of his sector, and why long-term goals are more difficult to make in recent years.
